With the Dragonslayers and Immortal Dragons constantly in the same heats or end up racing in a heat right after the other team, there were limited chances to cheer one another on or for photo opportunities.

Both teams were scheduled to race against each other in the Championship Finals. It would be the 4th time that weekend the two teams would race against each other in the same heat. However, all the Finals were rained out and promptly cancelled. Twenty minutes after the festival organizers cancelled the rest of the races, the rain stopped and sky cleared up.
