Held at the Dorval Community Centre, the crowd started filing in at 7PM, when the doors first opened up.

A steady stream of comedy-starved patrons warmed themselves up with the value-priced beverages expertly and efficiency served by our expert barstaff, consisting of Karen, Leigh-Ann, Julie & Ray. For those who did not wish to line up at the bar, our shooter-vendor J-F, was making the rounds around the room.

There was a hum in the air as 9PM approached. The crowd, awaiting the arrival of the comedians from the Comedy Nest (a longtime Montreal institution for fine humour and entertainment), allowed themselves to be taken in by the rhythmic beat of the background music. The room slowly filled to near capacity.

At the stroke of 9pm, with the virtual sellout crowd settled into their favourite viewing locations - cold drink in hand, the room lights dimmed to the sudden focus of white light aimed to the centre of the stage. This marked the start of 2 straight hours of pure entertainment. Three comedians made their way on stage in sequence, each one getting progressively funnier.

The great crowd, estimated to be in excess of 225 comedy lovers expressed their appreciation throughout the evening with howls of laughter and rounds of applause.

Thi Be from the Magic Dragons Dragonboat Team, out to celebrate her birthday which was the day before, won the gift basket of goodies. Happy Birthday, Thi Be! Other lucky door prize winners won ski tickets & a sport cap.

Following the comedy show.. the dance floor opened up and the party continued as the DJ spun out music until 2:30 a.m...

Free coffee and desserts were provided after the midnight hour. All said and done, the evening was a profound success. Everyone went home with a warm afterglow from the party having rediscovered their respective funny bone.
